Going out for dinner during Ramadan always causes a wardrobe dilemma and this is the situation I found myself in last night.  I was off to dinner at the lovely West 14 and needed an outfit that was

Outfit Du Jour

I do love floral fabrics, in my home and in my wardrobe, which is why this oriental style pencil skirt from Zara is one of my favorite pieces in my closet.  I picked this up in the Zara sale for AED95 during the DSS and I find it so versatile to wear, it has so many pretty colours in it you can outfit build with lots of different tops and accessories.

Skirt: Zara. Top: Koton

I wore it with a peach basic t-shirt from Koton.  Koton is a Turkish brand and they have stores all over Europe and the Middle East.  They have a great range of basics in a huge colour range and I find the jersey material easy to wear in the summer.  This t-shirt was only AED40, so I picked it up in handful of colours!

You can see from my close-up below that this skirt creases quite easily, so not ideal if you have an office job and are sitting down all day.  I have to wash it every time I wear it so it becomes nice and tight and clings to my curves again!

Work That Wardrobe

Today I am wearing my Lotus print skirt from Reiss, the material is silk so it is lovely to wear in the summer and because the cut is A-line it keeps me cool as well.  I also have the matching Lotus print shirt to match the skirt, which looks really cool, but a little too attention grabbing for a day in the office. Instead, I paired the skirt with one of my favourite tops from Zara, I love the yellow, it just makes you feel happy.

My arm candy today was my Louis Vuitton bucket bag, which can literally fit the kitchen sink in it!  This bag is so handy for work and shopping as it holds so much and goes with any outfit - it's great for Dubai but I don't like to carry this around when I travel as it is too exposed and I would worry about sticky fingers.

Here are a few shots from behind the scenes on the New Look set, filming a fashion tutorial for their You Tube channel.  I presented a piece about the monochrome trend so check out the link attached (*cringe) and let me know what you think?

I had a great time filming and my favourite part was getting ready in hair and make-up, I felt like a celeb being pampered!  My make-up was quite heavy, but looked light on camera as the high-key lighting tends to whip it out, and the products they used were from Urban Decay and MAC.

Wardrobe time! The New Look Spring/Summer 13 collection is really strong, I tried on nearly every piece before finding the perfect outfit for the day.

New Look Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

The New Look dress I opted for was this Aztec Midi, retails at AED95 (what a bargain) and has since become the most worn item in my wardrobe.  The jersey material is great for controlling your curves and I have worn it everywhere, from date night, to drinks with the girl its the perfect outfit to make you feel like you have made an effort with out feeling over dressed.

I'm off to Thailand next week (eeeeeeek so excited) so decided that my shade collection was too Dubai-fancy for a laid back beach vacay.  So I picked up these bad boys from Ray Band today, and I love the shape of the frame - their a little bit retro and a little bit swag which is right up my street. These are the men's version and I got these because the frames are bigger and looked better on my round face.

Outfit of the day #ootd

So here's me off to work, I had a few important meetings today so decided to look a little more corporate.  I picked up this dress in the Mango sale during the Dubai Summer Surprise, it was a last minute purchase I spotted when I was at the till - very strategically placed I think!  I really love the collar and sleeve detail, it reminded me of VB style and her designs, and for AED140 it was purchase well made.

Dress: Mango

I picked up my shoes from New Look, every girls one stop shop for a pair of new kicks.  I'm obsessed with nude coloured shoes, they go with everything and someone once told me that they make your legs look longer so that was all the convincing I needed.  These are suede all over, with a small kitten heel, perfect for long days on your feet.

Shoes: New Look

Huge tip if you are looking for some designer fashion jewellery - head over to Dubai Outlet Mall - I managed to pick up these pretty Marc Jacobs bracelets and when you pile them all on to one arm it make for some very girly arm candy.

Accessories: Marc Jacob

My bag is from Celine, gifted to me from my beau (I know I am incredibly lucky!!) I love the  fuchsia pink as it goes with so much of my closet - thank goodness clashing colours are in hey.   It's great for work because of the size, you can fit so much inside, the only problem is... it weighs  an absolute tun!  Once you have your daily essentials inside, this bag is incredibly heavy to lug around.  The positive thing is that as well as carrying around some lush arm candy you can also build up some serious biceps.  Carry it around Dubai Mall for an hour or two and you have a completed a full work out.  Too heavy for me I'm afraid, so I'm on the look out for a new designer purse to clutch, and for now Ms. Celine can rest up in my closet until a special occasion.

Out Fit Of The Day #OOTD

My most recent purchase was a Moschino belt, I debated for a long time before buying it, is it too flashy? Will I look like a fashion victim? But in the end, I couldn't resist this 90s throwback and I am so glad I got it!  It looks really cute with dresses and jeans, but at the weekend I paired it with basic white denim shorts and a black vest top, and a pair of Steve Madden spike sandals.  I wore this out for lunch with the beau, followed by a spot of shopping.

Top: New Look. Shorts: River Island. Belt: Net-a-porter.  Shoes: Steve Madden

Really into bright lips at the moment so I picked up this new colour from MAC called Sweet Pea. It's a great outfit add-on in replacement of a statement jewellery piece, but you definitely have to keep the eyes simply.

Handbag: Kelly Hermes.  Dress: New Look.  Shoes: Aldo.

Today I am off to work and when I don't have any meetings I usually rock flats and a mock dress.  Today I am wearing a cobalt blue dress from New Look, which I picked up in their buy-one-get-one-
