The evening commenced with the inevitable red carpet strut which lead into a champagne reception whilst photographers snapped away. We was seated around 9pm and the dinner and awards did not kick off until 10pm; and as a group of working girls needless to say we were starving by the time the appetisers were served. The menu was Japanese and we were served an aray of beautifully designed canapese (tapas style if you can imagine) which were too pretty too eat - but we managed!
The host for the evening was Amber Atherton from the reality TV show Made In Chelsea, which I don't watch, but if her acting is as good as her presenting skills, I'm not missing out on much (meow). Chanel walked away with two awards from the category Best Accessories Brand and Best Luxury Label, whilst Marc Jacobs trumped VB and Celine to claim Best Designer award. When it came to the bridge brand division, I'm disappointed to say that Reiss walked away empty handed which was sad - however, the champagne (VC too) did help me forget about the loss quite quickly.
So what did I wear in the end, well as I was attending the event as part of the Reiss team I had to wear the brand, so I wore a cream and navy Teddy dress from Fall 2013 paired with my peachy-pinky Manolo Blahniks. I wasn't as glamorous as a lot of the girls their but I felt comfy in my outfit choice - wow I am definitely getting closer to the big three-o when I'm choosing comfort over style. I had an early flight to catch the next morning so I flew in and flew out leaving the ball around 2am... So Cinderella had a mighty hang over the next day which was just fabulous (lol).
