What I wore today post and I decided to go for a boho meets urban street style look.  This is so far away from my usual style (pastels/beige/safe)  but I really enjoyed trying a new look.  I was attending a collection launch for New Look at The Mine art gallery in Al Quoz; I was going to be on camera interviewing the press, so I wanted a look that was a little more edgy and reflected the trends that were launching.

Wearing New Look from top to toe and I completely fell in love with this kimono.  I cannot wear skinny jeans unless I wear a top that covers my butt (as I have J-lo meets Kim K boody) so this cover up has just widened my out fit choices when styling up my favourite pair of skinnies as it allows me to wear shorter tops that I previously could not wear.  I love the print, it's kind of tribal and kind of aztec, and I think it would look great chucked over a bikini on the beach with salt-water curled hair and sandy feet.

Outfit Details

New Look Kimono

Kimono: 95 Dhs
Jeans: 100 Dhs
Top: 85 Dhs
Hat: 95 Dhs
Shoes: 120 Dhs

To add a bit of colour I went for a maroon lip, hat and shoes.  I love bowler hats and I  have two from New Look now, they are fantastic for adding a different dimension to the outfit and great to have on stand by for those bad hair days.  I have these shoes in a few different colours because they are really comfortable and a great height when you have to be on your feet for a long time.

The Collection

Since I have already posted a piece on New Look Spring Summer Collection when I got a peek behind the scenes back in November,  theres no need to go through the trends again - but now the clothes have hit the stores I the Middle East I thought I would share some snaps from the launch event.
