SPRING SUMMER 15 FASH LAUNCH




Reiss, New Look, Koton and Lipsy launch their spring summer collection with a multi brand press day at the Media One Hotel, showcasing the key trend pieces to the press. 

These are the four brands that I work for so hopefully I’ll be able to offer some insight on trends, colours and cuts for the season ahead.  Or if anything, the things I want to buy! If I could summarise SS15 with one word it would be ‘Pom Pom’.  Okay that's two words but still, for playsuits, shorts, necklaces and jackets, prepare for the tassel and it is coming in all different shapes, sizes and colours! Aside from a pocket, pom poms are definitely one of those add-ons that us women love, they add a really feminine look to an outfit that simply looks cute.


Koton showcased one of the strongest collections I’ve seen from the brand. Admittedly I am typically more of a ‘Reiss Girl’ but this season I will be swayed so expect to see my outfit posts feature a lot of Koton product in the coming weeks.  The hero pieces that really stood out to me, was a khaki culotte-suit which was just amazing – light weight fabric, loose fitting and in a rural earthy green colour.  The second outfit I have my eye on was an all white suit featuring a sleeveless jacket, which of course, had a pom-pom trim.  The collection was described as gypset i.e. Boho with a little added glamour.







  

Reiss looked back to the 1960s for some rat pack inspiration for their menswears collection where they showcased a lot of summer knits in beautiful pastels and sorbet colours.  The reveal of the white James Bond style dinner jacket was certainly a popular one with the media and it’s a shame we had to see this on a mannequin and not on a model *wink. Womenswear delivered what Reiss do best – simplicity in design, femininity in fabrics and transitional in colour.  As you know I’m an avid Reiss shopper so I wore their blush pink Rosalin dress to event, which was part of their 1971 collection.  Their dress was too pretty to be lost in an event coverage post so I have a #ootd write up to follow shortly.





Fashion forward New Look brought a press day full of summer vibrancy – in particular their swimwear collection that offered shapes and designs similar to those I’ve seen on Solaris boutique and Triangl. Their Into The Blue collection is one to watch out for, think retro rusty denim, baby blue crops and understated florals. Needles to say ripped denim has hit the wardrobes of most street savy bloggers this season and it’s great to see a full range of wearable fits from the brand, inclusive of the boyfriend cut and bootleg.








Last but by all means not least, Lipsy’s garden of Eden showcased what Lipsy does best, lace, fish tails and glamor.  The Michelle Keegan range was one of the strongest collections for the brand, offering an understated option for those of us (like me) who likes to play it safe in nudes, navy’s and one colour pieces.
