The Satin Jumpsuit, By Reiss

My favourite jumpsuit from Reiss, the Flo, has now arrived in satin. Do I need the same outfit in a different material when I already have two versions of it already? Probably not, but to save the prospect of a future wardrobe dilemma, I think it is definitely worth the purchase.

Ubud Uncovered

Bali. The go to destination for Dubians this summer. Wanting a reasonably priced get away to escape the summer heat, we decided to join the rest of the clan and bought our tickets to Bali. Ten days, three destinations and one man. First stop was Ubud.

Desert Walks, Banyan Tree Al Wadi

Desert walks at the beautiful Banyan Tree calls for an outfit update I think. So I'm sure it is no surprise that I'm wearing Reiss from head to toe.

The Banyan Tree, Al Wadi

This weekend we discovered a little piece of paradise, hidden away in the desert, also known as The Banyan Tree Al Wadi.  The Al Wadi resort is the perfect place to plan a staycation and feel like you have flown a million miles away.

Ladies Lunch at Frioul, Madinat Jumeirah

My gorgeous Mummy came over to see me in Dubai for some relaxation time, so we did breakfast at Frioul followed by cocktails at Shimmers, both in Mina Seyahi. As the weather is so beautiful at the moment, I am trying to take advantage of all the out door venues with a view.  And nothing sounds better than poached eggs followed by champagne, hey?

Home Made Caramelized Onion Chutney

There is nothing like a little bit of homemade onion chutney to go with your Camembert and french stick. And I decided to go one step further and make a whole batch, perfect for gifts and bringing out for dinner parties. Here's how to make it...

Hat Drama from Zara

I went shopping in Zara and this is the result. A hat that I cannot stop wearing, a beautiful cardi that I also cannot stop wearing, and a pair of white jeans which again,  you always see me in.  Yes I really need to get a little more creative with my wardrobe and choice of shops, duly noted.

Fashion Forward Dubai 2016

Fashion Foward, the street style event of the year where Dubai's Fashion Council bring together designers from all over the Gulf to exhibit their collections on the runways of D3, Dubai Design District. I was dressed in New Look for the event, so you can check out my wardrobe and favourite street style looks here.

Mint and Rosemary Slow Roasted Lamb

Happy Easter everyone. I absolutely love this holiday, it's like Christmas but with warmer weather and there is nothing I love more than tempting friends over with the offering of a lamb roast.

Festival Feeling for #TheFoodTruckJam

A very brief outfit post (just pictures really) of what I wore this weekend. We went to The Food Truck Jam at the Emirates Golf Club, which is a very chilled foodie festival with some craft stalls and a live band.  It's a great way to spend the afternoon, outside, when the weather is this beautiful.

That Aztec Clutch from New Look

We had friends over from the UK this weekend so we decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at The Atlantis, The Palm. In an attempt to save some money, I'm trying to revamp my current wardrobe by only buying new accessories to change the look.

Sand & Sunshine at Shimmers

If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon to waste away hours talking to your family, drinking crisp, cold Sauvignon, eating light Mediterranean food with incomparable views, head down to Shimmers at the Mina A'salam

Cheeks, Lashes and Brow Wows

We've all been there.  You run out of your ABH Brow Wizz (that your whole face/life depends on) and you nip into Sephora with the intention of only replacing this item.  Two hours later, with an additional visit to Bobbi Brown and your purse is all of a sudden 900 Dhs lighter. Gosh, I really hope today isn't the day that the Mr. decides to start reading my 'blog thing' and discover how much I spend on make-up. I say work hard, look pretty doing it.

Reiss Taylor Trousers

For those of you who don't know, one of the brands I work for is Reiss (hence, I am always wearing the product) and I do genuinely love the brand. We had our season launch event this week, where I sported our new Taylor pants in white.

The Golden Facial, Is It Worth The Cost?

Skin care experts Kaya Skin Clinic, invited me to review one of their facials this week so when Saturday afternoon came I left my partner to do the unpacking (having just moved home) and checked myself into Kaya's Marina branch for a couple of hours of me-time.

Feeling Mint

We had an instagram-husband moment this weekend as we were walking along Jumeirah Beach Road, taking Marley for his morning run. We walked past this sandy coloured stone wall with a Lady Boothby plant flowing over the top, its fuchsia petals looking so pretty on this sunny morning. The perfect backdrop for my weekend #ootd post.  How shameful!

Shaken Gin with Smashed Pear and Lemon

Nothing helps the prospect of work the next day a little more digestible than a sun downer on the balcony on a Saturday afternoon.  We tried this new refresher at the weekend and is now my new way of taking the classic G&T.

Sunday, January 17

Navy Day

Today I turned another year older as I celebrate my 31st birthday. I tend to be a little bit coy when it comes to the fuss and attention around celebrating birthdays and prefer to have a low key celebration with the besties. Despite that, my Mr. decided to organise a lovely (surprise) brunch for me at The Vida hotel (which I may do a post about next) but for now I wanted to share with you my outfit details as I headed out shopping for some pressies.

Christmas All Wrapped Up

Christmas time, my favourite time of year as I travel home to England to spend time with the family and friends. I'm a real home bird so nothing pleases me more to spend quality time with loved ones.  Aside from eating copious amounts of food, roast dinners, cheese boards and M&S sandwiches to name a few, I love being back in England doing the simple things I didn't appreciate when I lived there. Walks in the country, crispy leaves, the streets of London and the eclectic(ness) of each and every city.
